Drink Up me Hearties: Chapter Six"Captain, they are boarding us now!" called a member of Dojo's crew.
Dojo looked around frantically to find a safer place to stand. Then, there was a small explosion behind him.
"Captain, come over here!" called a man who had yet to lower his life boat. There were 3 people already aboard the small boat.
Gently, Dojo picked his way through the burning mess to get to the life boat. When he got there, he looked out into the water to see his crew already being transshipped from the burning ship onto the rescue ship. Dojo started to feel a bit weak. As he rested his and the child's weight on the life boat he heard a swift snapping noise. Dojo leaned up off the boat and looked back.
The rope of the life boat had whipped past him, making a whistling sound. His eyes widened with fear as he turned back to the Crew member. "David, sit down and hold on tight!"
David sat down immediately when he heard Dojo's tone of voice.
Suddenly, the life boat jerked and before long it plummeted to the cold dar
Drink Up me Hearties: Chapter FiveLexita was dying to get to the burning ship. The engine was now at full speed. "Come on," She whined. "Move faster." She looked around the ship thoughtlessly. "Butch, what is our condition?"
"We are going 6 knots per hour on calm waters Captain," Said Butch.
"What are our chances of going faster?"
"Ugh, well 12 out of 50, Captain, that's 24 percent."
"Good man, push the ship to go faster," said Captain Lexita.
"Aye, Captain," replied Butch.
Captain Lexita ran down to the lastage companionway. She climbed down the first 4 steps and yelled down to the group that kept an eye on the engine. "Pull in the back up! We need more power!"
"Aye, Captain!" one of them called.
There was a loud clicking sound that made the ship jerk. A few minutes later the ship started to move faster.
Lexita made her way back to Butch. "What's our condition now?"
"We are now moving at 11 knots per hour on calm waters, Captain," Butch said after looking at the speedometer, loxodograph, and pallograph. "We're only a
Drink Up me Hearties: Chapter FourDojo watched the ship desperately. The child he held seemed to be getting heavier. The burns on his back, arm, and hand throbbed. It's been 10 minutes since the flare had been fired.
What was I thinking? Another pirate wouldn't help us. They would just rob us of our treasures and leave us to die. He said to himself. He felt the heat of the fire behind him get hotter.
Suddenly, a green flare shot into the sky.
Dojo's jaw dropped. His distress call had been accepted. He put his hand on his head and smiled happily. "T-they're coming to save us," he said. "They are really coming to save us!"
Drink Up me Hearties: Chapter ThreeLexita stared at the ship that floated in the distance. She saw a bright orange and red light explode from the deck of the ship.
"Captain, it's a fire!" called out the crew member from the crow's nest.
Lexita looked up at the crow's nest then back at the enemy's ship. She saw the fire flaring from the ship's cabins.
Suddenly a pink light flew from the burning vessel and lit the sky.
Lexita looked then started running down the companionway to the main deck. "It's a distress signal!" she said sounding surprised. She turned around and faced the stern. "Here is a new order! Get those cannons out of use and get that engine running!" someone get my pistol and the acceptance flare!"
Everyone went running to get things in order.
Marie ran into the cockpit and grabbed Lexita's pistol and the acceptance flare. She came back and loaded the gun for Lexita. "Here you go, Captain."
Lexita grabbed the gun and shot the flare high into the sky. A bright green light lit the sky above the ship.
Drink Up me Hearties: Chapter TwoDojo was captain of his ship, The Ghost Marina. He was eighteen years old. The ship was home to 64 crew members; thirty-one men and thirty-three women. The youngest crew member was seven years old. The crew and captain worked like a family. However, there were many disagreements. They were the average pirates who were not too rich and not too poor. Not all of their raids were successful.
One dark night, Dojo had been in the cockpit looking over the map to make sure they were heading in the right direction. Part of the crew was resting while the others were checking the condition of the ship. Things were very quiet so far.
A female crew member ran into the cockpit frantically. She was covered in ash and coughing. "Captain, the stokehold, it's engulfed in flames! The stay had caught on fire and set the entire room on fire! The engine is still going and the fire is getting bigger with every pump of the router!
Dojo jumped up and ran past her. "Get everyone one off this ship before it blow
Drink Up me Hearties: Chapter OneLexita was captain of the ship, The Kingdom of Hearts. She was seventeen years old and a runaway royal from Satchera. The ship was home to forty crew members; thirty men and ten women. Everyone was older than Captain Lexita. The youngest crew member was twenty years old. Everyone got along like a big family and they cooperated very well. They were rich and successful pirates. They raided castles, ships, and even sea caverns. Treasure came easy to them.
One morning, Lexita woke up in her bed after hearing the curtains open in the background.
"Good morning, Captain Lexita," said a female crew member.
"Good morning, Marie," Lexita greeted in return.
"Did you sleep well?" Marie asked, pulling the curtains farther apart to let in some light.
"Great, Marie, thank you," Lexita said blinking into the light. She sat up and pulled her shirt off the chair next to her bed.
"Oh dear don't put that dirty thing back on, here's a new one," Marie said as she handed the clean shirt to her.
"Oh, thank yo
